It's that time of year again, and your library is gearing up for a busy fun summer! Kids, teens and tweens will find something to amuse and enlighten at the library this summer. We will have programs for all ages throughout June and July, including the popular Lego Club (Tuesdays at 3:00) and the Teen Library Lock-In (limited spaces and permission slips required) on June 28. You may click on the <-- Mad Scientist on the left for a view of the calendar.
For Kids and Families
Mondays at 3:00 pm (June 16-July 28) will feature different acts and activities, sure to make you laugh and think:

- Lions, Tigers and Bears with Turpentine Creek (6/23)

- Sugar Free All Stars, a musical treat (7/7)

Tuesdays at 3:00 pm is Lego Club, for those aged 5-12. This year we will be building our own miniature city, called "Lego Springs." It will be constructed by individuals and groups and be on display throughout the summer in the Library Annex window. Check out our progress!
Wednesdays at 10:00 am the younger set will gather for Preschool Craft and Story Hour. Topics will change each week, and will feature songs, games, reading, crafts and snacks!
For Tweens and Teens
Tweens and Teens can complete coupons in exchange for small prizes and books, plus each coupon completed will be entered in a drawing for $100 cash to be given away at the end of the program. Coupons consist of trivia questions, creative challenges and reading books. Ask at the library for your book soon, and get started! Coupon books and calendars have information about the all night Lock-In on June 28, as well as the End of Program Party on August 1.
Every other Thursday, June 12-July 24, at 3:00 pm, those entering 5th and 6th grades are invited to attend Pseudo Science. Just as the name implies, if you want to learn real science you might try elsewhere, but if you want to create explosions and get squirted with water, you'll fit right in at Pseudo Science with Professor Kate.
Every other Thursday, June 19-July 31, at 6:00 pm, those entering 7th-12th grade will enjoy Science Theater, in the style of Mystery Science Theater 3000, in which the audience in encouraged to heckle (loudly insult) the ridiculous Sci-Fi movie of the week.
Every Friday, June 20-July 25 at 3:00 pm, the Alpha Geeks will gather for gaming, movies, DIY and more. Nerdy or not, everyone is welcome. Donkey Kong, Daleks, D20s--oh my!
